New Welsh Medium Primary School

A new Welsh medium primary school serving the areas of Adamsdown, Splott, Tremorfa and Pengam Green has opened this month.

The school, which is temporarily based at Moorland Primary School, will provide education for pupils aged 4 to 11 years, with a reception class currently in operation.

The Council is proposing that the catchment area for the school is taken from within the current catchment area for Ysgol y Berllan Deg and as a result Adamsdown will fall within the area of the new school.

If you have any comments on the proposals then send them to Rob FitzGerald, Pupil and Student Services Manager, Room 311, County Hall, Cardiff, CF10 4UW. Comments should be submitted by 7th November 2005.
